Service Description

Therapeutic Sound Healing is a form of healing that uses different vibrations to promote healing of the body, mind, and spirit. Deepak Chopra explained Sound Healing very well when he said, “The body is held together by sound. The presence of disease (or dis-ease) indicates that some the sounds have gone out of tune.” Sound Healing uses instruments such as Gongs, Tibetan Singing Bowls, Quartz Crystal Singing Bowls, and Drums to name a few, to promote healing in the following ways: • Brainwave Entrainment-Brainwave entrainment refers to the capacity of the brain to naturally synchronize brainwave frequencies with the rhythm of external stimuli, such as the frequencies produced by sound healing instruments. • Sympathetic Resonance-Sympathetic Resonance is when the vibrations in one object produces like vibrations in another. This principle causes the body to vibrate at the same frequency as the sound healing instruments. • Frequency Following Response-Frequency Following Response refers to the effect that sound frequencies have on brainwaves. By creating corresponding frequencies with Sound Healing instruments, brainwaves can be shifted into a slower, more relaxed state, such as those experienced during meditation or sleep. • Balancing the brain’s left and right hemispheres-Sound Healing works on both sides of the brain to develop areas where we might be weak and improve communication between the hemispheres. Some of the most common benefits of Sound Healing are: • Triggers the relaxation response. • Reduces blood pressure • Alleviates symptoms of chronic stress • Creates homeostasis in the mind, body and spirit
